Where the data on this site comes from

Every authority fee, chain step and date on this site is generated from a requirements database. No price is typed onto a page by hand.

A sourced database

Every route has a source, and it is shown on the page. When an authority changes a fee or a procedure, the change is made in the database and it updates everywhere the fact appears. Pages rebuild daily.

Confidence decides whether a number is shown

Information reviewed: the fee is shown as an amount with its basis, and the page says when it was checked. The check rests on an official source or a verified Rustravel case.

Confirmed in advance: the route is known, but the fees have not been verified against a primary source. Then we do not publish a number; we confirm the amounts with the authority before quoting.

Many authorities publish their fees incompletely or not at all. We would rather say so than show a stale figure.

The basis of a fee is always shown

Some fees are charged per document, some per signature and some per set. The same bundle of documents can therefore cost a different amount depending on how many signatures it carries. That is why every fee on this site names its basis, and when the authority has not published a unit, we say that too.

Sources are watched

The authority sources linked to the database are checked automatically every night. When a source changes, the fact goes back for review. That is why route pages print a verification date: facts have an age, and we show it.

Machine-readable data

The same database is available as a machine-readable interface for business use. Access requires a key. If you want the routes and fees in your own system, tell us about your need.
